OpenIDが広まりつつあり、有名どころがOpenIDの認証を提供しはじめています（Livedoor、はてな、Yahoo、AOLなどなど）。それで、いつの間にかGoogleアカウントもBlogger経由でOpenIDを利用できるようになっています。初期には別途設定しないと使えなかったようですが、現在はブログを作成すれば自動的にOpenID URLも発行されました。
使う予定のないブログを立ち上げるのが嫌な場合はOpenID for Google Accountを利用するのも手です。プレビューリリース中のGoogle App Engineを使ったサービスです。発行されるURLは http://openid-provider.appspot.com/GoogleAccountName です（GoogleAccountNameはGoogleメールアドレスの@より前の部分に置き換えてください）。

Someone who hesitates to start a new blog, can use OpenID for Google Account. This is a service using Google App Engine which is now preview released. Published URL is http://openid-provider.appspot.com/GoogleAccountName (Please replace GoogleAccountName with characters before @ in your Google e-mail address).

Now, let me explain how to get OpenID at Blogger with screen captures.
- BloggerにGoogleアカウントでログインします Sign in to use Blogger with your Google account
- ログイン後のマイレポートで「ブログを作成」をクリックします Click “Create Your Blog Now” at your dashboard
あるいは、アカウントの設定画面でニックネームを設定します Or input your nickname at account settings - ブログタイトルやアドレスを入力して次へ Name your blog
- デザインテンプレートを選択して次へ Choose a design template
- ブログ作成完了。続けて「ブログを開始する」に移動し、発行されたOpenIDを確認します Mission completed! Then, let’s check your OpenID URL
- 「設定」タブをクリックします Click Settings tab
- 「OpenID」をクリックします Click OpenID
- OpenIDのURLと、このOpenIDでログインした対応サイトを確認できます You see OpenID URL and a list of OpenID enabled sites that you’ve log in to with this OpenID
